Iron Speed Designer Version 3.1 Features

• Troubleshooting Wizard helps configure and deploy applications. A new integrated troubleshooting wizard walks you step-by-step through the process of configuring and running your application in situations where it fails to run. It includes online knowledge base search and access to a comprehensive error message glossary.



• Troubleshoot application configuration from your deployment environment. A portion of the Troubleshooting Wizard is automatically added to your application, making it easy to troubleshoot applications when you deploy them into a production environment. Just start the troubleshooting wizard from its subfolder in your application and let it guide you through the configuration process.

• Additional data caching reduces page display time. Enjoy speed improvements of up to 2X, based on the amount of data shown.



• Generate applications in 11 new languages. Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Finnish, Hungarian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, New Norwegian (Nynorsk), Russian, Swedish, and Thai have been added to our ever-growing collection of languages. Many thanks to members of the Iron Speed Community for contributing these language translation files. Now, select from 20 different language translations!

• Application building displays generation and compilation progress. A new Building Application dialog displays generation and compilation progress. It automatically detects any warning and error messages that occur and collects them for easy viewing. And canceling an in-progress build is now a simple button click.



• Enhanced Application Information step. Select between Visual Studio .NET and the built-in .NET Framework compilers (csc and vbc) in the Application Wizard’s initial application information step. Iron Speed Designer automatically detects if you have Visual Studio .NET installed.



• Controllable naming policies. Set control name prefixes, suffixes and other naming policy attributes from an easy-to-use XML file.



• Control renaming. From the Design tab, you can right click on any control and selected the new Rename function to rename it. The control and all of its related property bindings are automatically updated.



• Faster file saving and refreshing web page files. Enjoy the improved speed and performance in the Design tab.



• Code Telescope works with proxy servers. Access a wealth of online class and function documentation in Code Telescope even if you’re behind your company’s proxy server. Iron Speed Designer detects and uses your proxy server to access this valuable information over the Internet.



• Updated installation program. An industry-standard MSI installer makes the Iron Speed Designer product easier to install.
