Service Offerings
Jim is a full-time private consultant and the Owner of River City Software Development LLC. He is an expert in the Software Development Life Cycle using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/D) methods. Jim has over 16 years experience in the development of database-driven applications of all sizes for industries such as Health Care, Insurance, Banking/Lending, Real Estate, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing and Government. He is highly versatile, having worked on large multi-million dollar enterprise systems with Database Clusters and Web Farms to small weekend ‘get-me-out-of-trouble’ projects.

Jim has built a strong reputation for rapid development without sacrifice. He is committed to quality and is a firm believer in thorough testing. Although Jim is highly technical, he has the ability speak ‘business’ to business people, and “geek speak” to technical staff, often playing the role of translator to facilitate effective communication between the two.

Jim is available to help you in the following areas:

  • Business Analysis / Requirements Gathering

  • Application Development

  • Database Design

  • Technical UML Documentation

  • Training and Mentoring

  • Reporting

Sample Applications

TheCommissionFactor has a log that Administrators can view. The system logs important application events, including failed and successful logons, user registrations, loan application submissions, etc. Upon request of funds, PDF documents are automatically generated and emailed to the participants.

AutoGift. All workflow is handled using a ‘wizard’ process. Under the hood, this uses XML web services to connect to a partner bank to transfer money. Also, a PDF letter is automatically generated when funds are requested and automatically faxed to the dealership. The entire application is fully automated.

This is a heavily customized Iron Speed Designer-generated screen, which functions as a pop-up and collects data from physicians for a health care application. Upon clicking the Send Results button, the system generates two PDF mailers, prints them to the network printer, generates an HL7 message, then connects to the company’s Information Broker (IB) via TCP/IP and sends the binary results file. In addition, there are “Admin” pages where data is maintained, audited and reviewed.
